The
dive's the thing. We make the gear that we know will make our diving
better. The
process begins with designing, testing and refining; making it better
in the process, never settling for "good enough." It's
knowing it as opposed to guessing it. It's about having such high
standards and expectations in how we want our products to perform
that we are relentless in our pursuit of perfection.

our history in the evolution of DIR diving to the people who stand
behind every piece of gear we make.

The New Halcyon Explorer Light
- We Did It Again! |
New 2008 Features:
- Locking bulb design eliminates the risk of dislodged bulbs and sporadic ignition problems
(patent pending).
- Super high-temperature polymer (PEEK) nearly eliminates risk of heat damage common within
the competition.
- New, brighter bulb with a shorter stem and protection sleeve reduces risk of breakage
during transport.
The 2006 release of the Explorer series established a new bar in underwater lighting by designing
the industry's first sealed lid design, including a novel auto-plug battery and an impact
resistant battery pod. New in 2008, Halcyon is proud to introduce the next generation of its
popular Explorer lighting series, including a range of enhancements that are sure to expand upon
the popularity of this trend setting line of Halcyon lights.
A new, brighter bulb together with a unique locking bulb design (patent pending) is sure to
enhance performance; meanwhile a space age polymer known as PEEK insulates our new socket
design. The high temperature resistance of PEEK (644 deg F) insulates Halcyon light sockets
from damage common to our competitor's lights. Meanwhile the brighter bulb is shorter with
an exterior sleeve, reducing the risk of breakage. These new enhancements expand upon the
range of unique Halcyon features already present in the Explorer series, setting a new bar
in underwater lighting systems.

Halcyon Evolve MC System |

Evolve
40 & 60 MC Systems |
Halcyon
DIR Dive Systems again raises the standard for precision
buoyancy control with the release of the new Evolve dual
cylinder wing. The Evolve's design is the result of an intense
two-year period of testing by the Halcyon product development
team. While the typical doubles wing uses a horseshoe-shaped
bladder, the Evolve draws its design inspiration from Halcyon's
successful Eclipse circular bladder single-tank wing.
The
Evolve builds upon Halcyon's dedication to designing gear
for the advanced diver. The Evolve's development team focused
on improvements in stability, buoyancy and trim control.
The Evolve's circular design allows for precise control
of in-water buoyancy and trim.

We always welcome comments
about our gear from our customers. Let us know how Halcyon
gear has made your diving better, and if we can use your
comments on the website we'll send you a Halcyon DIR Dive
System shirt. Here's what John B., a diver from Southern
California who frequents both the cenotes of Mexico and
tropical islands from Seychelles to Bora Bora, has to say
about the Halcyon DIR dive system:
Call
me a geek or whatever but Halcyon gear is so without peers...
I am amazed with the thought and detail that goes into EVERY
piece of Halcyon gear.
I tell everyone that will listen (and some that don't want
to) about this equipment. I just can not say enough about
it! My dives have become so hassle free, my surface prep
is cut by 60%. I have eliminated the junk (like spring cleaning)
and use every piece of gear, excepting emergency equipment,
on every dive. No more "Chuckwagon" with stuff hanging everywhere.
I thank you |
