Ohessa alkuperäinen lähettämäni kysymys, ja DAN Europen vastaus: Q: Is there some difference in Egypt, regarding DAN standards? I mean, if you do NOT have their seperate pressure chamber insurance, you would have to pay for the treatment first, and then claim the money back fromDAN? This is what someone told me, but wanted to clarify this to the public. If this is true, is this procedure valid in some other countries as well? A: That is not correct: what you should do, whether you are in Egypt or elsewhere, is to immediately contact the DAN Hotline International number so as to allow direct management of the emergency on the side of DAN since the very first beginning. In this case the DAN Hotline will pay up front all covered costs and the insured member will not have to anticipate payment to the medical providers out of his/her own pocket. I would also add that, in a scenario where, in a diving related emergency, DAN is not immediately alerted, the insured member will have to sustain up-front all medical costs and will have to claim back the covered ones transmitting an insurance claim with all the original invoices & payment receipts to DAN Claims Office. Ohessa DAN Europelta saatu ohje: Miten toimin hätätilanteessa |
